Gov. M. Jodi Rell of Connecticut is CSG’s 2008 President. Rell became acquainted with CSG in the 1980s as a member of Connecticut’s House of Representatives, where she held several leadership posts. She later served nine years as lieutenant governor before becoming governor in 2004.

Rep. Kim Koppelman of North Dakota is CSG's 2008 Chair. Koppelman was first elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in 1994, and chairs the Constitutional Revision Committee and serves on the Judiciary and Political Subdivisions committees. He is a member of the Administrative Rules Committee and has served on several interim committees. He is a graduate of CSG Midwest’s Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development, in Madison, Wisconsin and the CSG’s national Henry Toll Fellowship program.
